Century 21 Manley

This page is devoted to those who are moving to or from the area related to the National Grounds Intelligence Center (NGIC). I have worked with many people who work at NGIC and can honestly say that I have enjoyed every single experience.

Apparently NGIC is considered a "rural" facility. Those of us from Charlottesville/Albemarle and the rest of the Central Virginia area would probably disagree with this assessment, but, who's to argue with the military?

If you have any questions about moving to the area for NGIC or have any suggestions, please contact me.

Many of those who work at NGIC's 29 North facility choose to live in that general vicinity. Everything you need is there. Grocery stores, a Target, restaurants, public schools, dance classes - there is a new 24-hour gym minutes away from NGIC  - you name it and it is there. The selection of neighborhoods is diverse as well - homes built in the 50's and 60's to new homes in neighborhoods with walking trails, tennis courts, pools, and more.

On the other hand, many of my clients choose to live elsewhere for a variety of reasons; a primary one being housing affordability.

Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville are, frankly, more expensive than the surrouding Counties - Greene County just to the North and Fluvanna County to the east being the most counties in which my NGIC clients have purchased.

NGIC in the News

04 April 2008 - NGIC Expansion to bring in more families - "Thousands of military jobs could be on their way to Albemarle County by 2011. it's all part of an expansion plan at the National Ground Intelligence Center in the northern part of the county."

11/8/2007, also known as the Rivanna Station Military Base:

- Expansion of Albemarle County's growing federal spy center is under way northeast of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport at a facility that already has added scores of contract employees to its uniformed and civilian U.S. Army workforce.
