Moving to the Charlottesville area? One of the primary misconceptions of the Charlottesville is that "Charlottesville" typically is used to describe the entire Central Virginia region. Central Virginia is comprised of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, and parts of Louisa and Nelson Counties. I heard it said that the City of Charlottesville is half the geographical size of Dulles International Airport.
